Half of Facebook’s users log in each and every day; the potential of reach for your small business is huge. Facebook statistics show that people connect with their favourite brands on Facebook over any other social network. Because of that they are more likely to recommend a brand after being introduced on Facebook. Anyone outside of Facebook can view your page because search engines index the content. It also remains a lucrative form of advertising with a small price tag.
Establishing Your Profile And Page Admins
Establish a personal Facebook profile before creating your business page. The creator of the personal page will be able to access the business page through the same account.
Some people are a bit wary about mixing their personal information with the business’s information. This will not be an issue as you can interact with your business page as your business name and your personal page as yourself. Thus, when people interact with your business page, they will only see the company posts and don’t see your personal profile.
You can allocate other people to work on your business’s Facebook page by selecting admins. For this, just fill in the appropriate information in the ‘Edit Page’ section under ‘Manage Admins’. The admins need to be your Facebook friends or can identify themselves by the email address they use for Facebook.
Creating A Facebook Page
From within your personal Facebook profile, you can create a Facebook page for your business. By clicking on ‘Pages’ or ‘Add Pages’, Facebook will guide you through the various steps, which you can fill in to best suit your business; being a brand, product, or service or a business with local premises.
Information To Include
First of all, Facebook will request information about your business. You can specify a logo for your profile picture, details for the ‘About’ section, your business contact info, business hours and the URL of your website.
Photos, links, events, notes, and videos are standard features for every Facebook page. You can choose which ones of these sections show depending on what is applicable for your industry.
You can customise the appearance of your page with a design that is appropriate for your brand such as your cover image which displays like a banner at the top of your page.
On our own F1RST Facebook page, we post our blog articles and other information that may interest our followers. Depending on your type of organisation, you can announce the latest news and promotions. Likewise, you ca post upcoming events or ask your fans about their favourite product or service you offer. The more you post and interact, the more engaged visitors will be with your business.
